HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist to support our growing commercial construction projects. If you’re passionate about making an impact, driving compliance, and building a culture where every worker goes home safe, we want you on our team.

 

  • Oversee and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures across the job site
  • Support and monitor electrical safety compliance, including coordination with trades
  • Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and field observations
  • Lead safety meetings and provide guidance on proper energy isolation practices
  • Review and verify LOTO plans, permits, and documentation
  • Work closely with contractors and site leadership to ensure safe execution of work
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions as needed

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 (Construction) required
  • Strong experience with LOTO programs in construction or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E and electrical safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with multiple trades
  • Additional certifications (OSHA 510, NFPA 70E training, etc.) are a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
